HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) – A 54-year-old Hickory resident was arrested Friday, (September 4) following a police intervention that authorities say uncovered illegal narcotics and related items.

According to records from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, James Steven Sprinkle of 23rd Ave NE was taken into custody by officers with the Hickory Police Department. Sprinkle faces multiple charges, including felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Following his arrest, a secured bond was set at $8,500. Sprinkle has a District Court date Tuesday (September 8).
