Accuma Corp. Considering $3.2 Million Expansion In Iredell County

STATESVILLE, N.C. (Iredell Free News) – Iredell County commissioners have approved a $33,466 economic development incentive for Accuma Corp., which is considering an expansion and new product line at its Statesville facility. According to the Iredell Free News, the company has operated in Iredell County for 41 years and manufactures plastic molding products for the battery industry.

The potential project would involve an estimated $3.2 million investment in machinery and equipment at the company’s facility on Fanjoy Road, with the investment expected to be completed by December 31st, 2027.

Under the approved agreement, Accuma could receive up to $33,466 over five years. The incentive would be based on 50 percent of the new property taxes generated by the machinery and equipment. According to the published report, Iredell County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Jenn Bosser said the project would diversify Accuma’s manufacturing operation, expand its capabilities and support existing jobs and future growth.

If the project moves forward, the company could pursue a larger on-site expansion that may include a new building, additional product lines and more jobs.
