CONOVER, N.C. (WHKY) — A Vale woman is facing a felony drug charge following an arrest by Conover Police.

According to Catawba County jail records, 36-year-old Lawatta Leona Williams was taken into custody today, September 8. She is charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule Six controlled substance and driving with a license revoked for a reason other than impaired driving.

Williams was jailed under a $4,000 bond. A court appearance was scheduled today in Newton District Court. The charges are allegations, and Williams is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
