NEWTON, N.C. (WHKY) — A woman was jailed Tuesday, September 29, in Catawba County on drug trafficking charges. Ashley Nicole Long, 36, faces charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and trafficking in opium or heroin.

Long was booked into the Catawba County Detention Facility. Bond amounts listed in the two cases total $400,000 — $150,000 in the methamphetamine case and $250,000 in the opium-or-heroin case.

A February 9, 2027, appearance in Catawba County District Court is listed for both cases.
