HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) – 30-year-old Deanna Karlene Loper who lists addresses in Wilkesboro and West Jefferson was arrested Sunday (July 19) by Hickory Police Officers. She was taken into custody on charges filed in Ashe County, where she’s charged with two counts of trafficking, opium or heroin. Loper was detained in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $500,000 bond. A Tuesday (July 21) Ashe County District Court appearance was scheduled
