TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (WACB) – An Alexander County woman was placed  in custody in connection to an indictment earlier this year. On Monday (August 10) 37-year-old Ashley Nicole Hartley of Old Wilkesboro Road in Taylorsville was detained in the Alexander County Detention Center.

The charges date back to February when the suspect was charged by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hartley was indicted by an Alexander County Grand Jury on June 1.

A hearing was scheduled on Monday after which, Hartley was detained.
