56-year-old Danielle Larkin of West Union Street in Morganton was arrested last Friday (August 4) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. She’s charged with two felony counts of larceny of a motor vehicle.

According to Morganton Department of Public Safety records, just after 12 noon last Friday, a Public Safety Officer made a vehicle stop on a 2020 Bentley Continental convertible on South Green Street in Morganton. The officer had probable cause to stop the vehicle due to the belief that the suspect, Danielle Larkin, who was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle theft at an address on West Union Street earlier in the day, would be in the passenger seat.

Larkin was identified and arrested for two motor vehicle larcenies. The other vehicle listed is a black Mercedes Sprinter van. Larkin was brought to the Burke County Jail under $20,000 secured bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today (August 8). A first appearance in District Court was scheduled Monday (August 7). Larkin’s next District Court date is set for August 28.
