31-year-old Kristen Denise Hamrick of Highway 182 in Crouse was arrested Tuesday (August 10) by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with seven felony counts of trafficking heroin, three felony counts of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, along with single felony counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, and the sale & delivery of heroin.
On October 12, 2020, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators arrested a suspect leaving a residence in the 4200 block of Highway 182 in Crouse. During the traffic stop officers reportedly seized 70 grams of heroin.
After continued surveillance for several months narcotics officers were able to conduct two undercover purchases of heroin from the woman, Kristen Denise Hamrick. At approximately 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, investigators approached the suspect in the parking lot of Walmart on North Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton. Hamrick was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Officers reportedly seized 6.7 grams of heroin during the arrest.
Hamrick was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $251,000 secured bond. She was scheduled to appear in District Court today (August 11).
