Woman Charged With Death By Distribution In Connection To Fatal Overdoses

38-year-old Brandee Nicole Flowers of Mauney Drive in Lincolnton was arrested Monday (January 22) by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with two counts of felony death by distribution.

The suspect is charged in connection with an incident that occurred on September 18, 2023, at a residence on Horseshoe Lake Road in Lincolnton where two people were found deceased by family members. Fentanyl toxicity was listed as the cause of death for both victims.

Deputies were dispatched to the residence after the Sheriff’s Office received a report that two individuals had overdosed. The man and woman were found on the floor of the home. The couple had been living in a trailer behind the residence.

It was determined by police that Brandee Nicole Flowers sold and delivered fentanyl to the couple prior to their deaths. Following her arrest Monday, Flowers was incarcerated in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today (January 23). A District Court date was scheduled today.
