Woman Charged In Connection To Weekend Stabbing

43-year-old Kisha Dawn Terry of Overcash Road in Troutman was arrested Sunday (May 5) by Troutman Police Officers. She’s charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury.

On Sunday officers were called to Iredell Memorial Hospital where a female had arrived with a stab wound to her back. The victim reported that she had been stabbed during an altercation earlier in the day at Sheetz on Charlotte Highway in Troutman.

An investigator with the Criminal Investigations Unit responded and took over the case. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was Kisha Dawn Terry. A warrant for Terry’s arrest was obtained for the assault charge.

Terry was found by deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody. After being handed over to Troutman officers, Terry was taken before a magistrate where she was ordered held with no bond until she could appear before a District Court judge.

Bond has since been set at $75,000 secured. Terry was being held in the Iredell County Detention Center as of earlier today (May 7). A District Court date is set for May 28.
