Winston-Salem Man Arrested by H.P.D. on Trafficking & Firearms Charges

50-year-old Nathan Lee Eaton of Winston-Salem was arrested by Hickory Police last Friday (February 16) on felony counts of trafficking opium or heroin and possession of a firearm by a felon, along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana up to half an ounce.

Eaton was taken into custody without incident at about 10:40 p.m. Friday near an auto dealership on Highway 70 S.E. in Hickory. According to H.P.D.’s arrest report, he was in possession of an unspecified firearm at the time of his arrest. Eaton was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $52,500, secured. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (February 22). A first appearance in District Court was scheduled this past Monday (February 19) in Newton with additional court dates coming up on March 11 & 18.
