HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) – The City of Hickory had a discharge of untreated wastewater on Thursday (July 23) of an estimated 11,305 gallons at 2287 1st Street SE, due to heavy rain. The wastewater was discharged into Henry Fork River. The Division of Water Resources was notified of the event Thursday and is reviewing the matter.
