Authorities say 51-year-old Murphy Scott McLeod was stopped Tuesday near St. John Church Avenue and NC 18 South. Deputies recognized McLeod and knew he had an active warrant.

McLeod was served with the warrant charging him with felony trafficking in methamphetamine. He also faces new charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor driving while license revoked.
