Vehicle Theft Under Investigation In Alexander County

On Sunday (August 2) at approximately 11:30 a.m., Alexander County Communications received a call in reference to a motor vehicle being stolen. The vehicle was taken at approximately 10:30 a.m. from the parking lot of Office Practice of Pharmacy, located off of Highway 16 South in Taylorsville. The victim was cleaning inside the pharmacy when the incident occurred.

Video surveillance reveals a person walking east on Carrigan Road toward Highway 16 South, down an embankment into the parking area of Office Practice of Pharmacy. The suspect then enters a white 1998 Toyota Camry, tag number HKM-5991, and exits the parking lot.

Any residents of Carrigan Road who may have seen the suspect walking down the road are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office or Crimestoppers. There is a current reward being offered by Alexander County Crimestoppers up to $1,000.
