27-year-old Nichole Leigh Mcalpine of Bridal Path Drive in Vale was arrested Wednesday (April 5) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with two counts of trafficking, opium or heroin along with single counts of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce. Mcalpine was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $150,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (April 6).
