33-year-old John Michael Gerst of Reeps Grove Church Road in Vale was arrested Wednesday (November 8) by Probation and Parole Officers. He was charged with felony possession of schedule two controlled substance along with a misdemeanor probation violation. Gerst was jailed under $5,000 secured bond in the Caldwell County Detention Facility. He was not listed in jail as of earlier today (November 9). A Superior Court date was scheduled for March 2024.
