NEWTON, N.C. (WHKY) – A man is facing felony charges following an arrest earlier this week. According to arrest records, 32-year-old Darren Tyler McSwain of Elmwood Court in Vale was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers Wednesday (August 19).

McSwain is charged in Burke County with felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods or property. His bond was set at $6,000. McSwain is scheduled to appear in Burke County District Court on Monday, August 24.
