Upcoming Reception & Shows at Full Circle Arts

On Thursday, January 25, Full Circle Arts will hold a reception for the latest competition/exhibition, “PaperWorks”. Artists have entered works in which manipulation of paper is the major part of the work. The show includes collage, folding, quilling, cutting and pasting. The judge was Linda Harvey, an expert in handmade paper, who conducts workshops at the Rock School Foundation in Valdese. Prizes will be announced at the reception. The show continues at Full Circle Arts to March 2. Gallery hours are Fridays, 11-5, and Saturdays, 10-2.

Another show at Full Circle Arts is “Impressions”, original prints by Meredith Janssen, which continues to February 24. Predominantly a watercolor artist, Meredith also works in oils, pastels, and graphic art printmaking. Photography and copper and silver jewelry design are included in her interests as well. She concentrates mostly in realistic landscapes and still-life paintings, although she also occasionally moves to figure painting. Originally from New Jersey, Meredith currently lives and paints in Hickory.
