Tyson Named Lone Representative for LR Men’s Basketball on All-Conference Team

Graduate student Nas Tyson has been named to the Third Team All-Conference as announced by the league this morning.

Tyson played in all 28 games for LR this season and leads the Bears in most statistical categories. He finished the regular season as the team’s leading scorer at 12.8 points per game and also the best 3-point shooter on the squad with a 45.7 percent shooting percentage. Tyson’s 85.2 percent from the free throw line also leads LR. He added 3.4 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 61 assists and 25 stales. He shot 48.0 percent from the field. Tyson poured in a season-high 28 points against Converse on November 21 and had 21 games where he scored in double digits.

Tyson and the Bears return to action tomorrow where they take on top seed Lincoln Memorial in the SAC Tournament Quarterfinals at 5 p.m.
