Two Suspects Sought in Connection to Fatal Tuesday Afternoon Shooting in N.E. Hickory

Hickory Police are searching for two suspects in connection to what police now report is a fatal shooting that occurred at 2:30 this afternoon (January 13) at T.C.S. Designs, 1851 9th Avenue N.E. in Hickory. The shooting is the result of a dispute between two employees.

Officers found the victim, 51-year-old Phelifia Michele Marlow, in the business suffering from gunshot wounds. Ms. Marlow was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Phelifia Marlow succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Baptist. Tangela L. Parker is now wanted for first-degree murder for the death of Marlow.  Eric Parker is wanted for accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. Both suspects are residents of Alexander County.

The Parkers were last seen leaving the business in a beige 2019 Honda C.R.V. with North Carolina license plate FAM5669. The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
