38-year-old Eder Alberto Delgado of Woodland Hill Trail and 32-year-old Francisco Javier Villanueva-Salas of Maiden Highway, both from Lincolnton, were arrested Thursday (April 29) by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers.
Delgado is charged with trafficking heroin, trafficking marijuana, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Villanueva-Salas is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After a lengthy drug investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force, officers obtained search warrants for two locations in Lincoln County. On Thursday, officers executed the warrants at addresses on Woodland Hills Trail and Maiden Highway in Lincolnton.
Officers reportedly found 2.2 pounds of heroin, 2.2 pounds of cocaine, 29 pounds of marijuana, A large amount of pills believed to be fentanyl, and a large amount of U.S. currency during the search. Both suspects were taken before a magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $1,000,000 secured bond apiece. They remained in jail as of earlier today (April 30). They’re both scheduled to appear in District Court May 20.
