Two Suspects Charged With Multiple Felony Offenses After Deputies Respond To Home

34-year-old Candice Danielle Rogers of Louise Drive and 34-year-old William Troy Martin of Owens Farm Road, both from Mooresville, were arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers.

Rogers is charged with nine counts of felony conspiracy, four felony counts apiece of breaking & entering to a motor vehicle, financial card theft, and obtaining property by false pretense, seven misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and one count of misdemeanor larceny. The charges are from multiple counties including Iredell.

Martin is charged with six felony counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, single felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule VI controlled substance, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance. Martin is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one misdemeanor count of harboring a fugitive.

According to information released Thursday (May 4), on March 18, 2023, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports in the Anniston Way neighborhood in Mooresville of vehicles that had been broken into during the nighttime hours. Surveillance footage revealed three unknown suspects walking through the neighborhood during the night, entering unsecured vehicles, and stealing items from inside.

It was learned that multiple debit and credit cards were stolen from one of the victims. The victim discovered their financial cards had been used at Best Buy, Target, and Vape and Tobacco City in Mooresville. Video surveillance footage was obtained of male and female suspects using the stolen cards and purchasing items at businesses in Mooresville.

The woman was identified as Candice Danielle Rogers, she was accompanied by a 14-year-old male juvenile who also used the stolen financial cards. That juvenile was located and they admitted to breaking into the vehicles in the Anniston Way neighborhood as well as stealing another vehicle from Davidson, North Carolina. That vehicle was recovered and turned it over to Davidson Police Department. Rogers was found at a residence on Owens Farm Road on April 25. She was found hiding under a bed and was taken into custody on thirteen outstanding warrants from five different counties, including Iredell.

While inside the residence, deputies noticed multiple firearms. The home is occupied by William Troy Martin, a convicted felon who cannot have access to firearms. After Martin was taken into custody officers found methamphetamine in his possession. Upon further investigation, more weapons, drugs, and paraphernalia were reportedly found in the home.

Bond for Rogers was set at $150,000 secured, Martin received a $50,000 secured bond. Neither suspect was listed as in inmate in Iredell County today (May 5). Both suspects have Iredell County District Court dates May 15.
