Two Suspects Charged With Drug Offenses Following Search Of Home

42-year-old Isaac Dwight Teague and 24-year-old Meagan Lynn Whaley, both of the same Antioch Road, Morganton address, were arrested Thursday (February 16) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. Both suspects are charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. Teague is additionally charged with felony counts of trafficking in meth, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth, trafficking opium or heroin, possession of cocaine and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine. He’s also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Thursday, Burke County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators with assistance from Lenoir Police Department narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at an address on Antioch Road in Morganton. The suspects, Isaac Dwight Teague and Meagan Lynn Whaley were taken into custody without incident. Investigators conducted a search of the property and reportedly found and seized approximately 110 grams of meth, eleven grams of opiate-based pills, twelve grams of crack cocaine, U.S. currency and several firearms.

Teague was incarcerated in the Burke County Jail under $100,000 secured bond. Whaley’s bond was set at $3,000 secured. Neither suspect remained in jail in Burke County as of today (February 20). Both suspects are scheduled to appear in District Court March 9.
