30-year-old Dylan James Rogers and 50-year-old Tammy Duckworth Boone were arrested Wednesday (February 15) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. Both suspects are charged with murder.

According to a news release from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, they’re charged in connection to the fatal shooting of a pregnant Burke County woman. As WHKY previously reported, On February 10, the Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to a cardiac arrest at the home of the deceased on Clark Loop. Upon arrival, first responders found 41-year-old Brandi Deal with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The motive for the crime is unclear and it was unknown if there is any relationship between the victim and the two suspects. Both Rogers and Boone were jailed in Morganton without bond. They were scheduled to appear in court today (February 16).
