Two Suspects Charged In Alexander County Drug Case

34-year-old Cody Wyatt Barker Sheperd of Statesville and 25-year-old Buddy Randall Fortner of Stony Point were arrested Tuesday (October 24) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. Sheperd is charged with felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth and parole violation along with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Fortner is charged with felony possession of meth and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Following a drug investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies went to a Stony Point residence and arrested the two suspects. Sheperd was initially jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $150,000 secured bond, that was changed to no bond when the parole violation charge was added. Fortner was incarcerated in the same facility under $10,000 secured bond. Both men remained in jail as of earlier today (October 27). They both have court dates next Monday, October 30.
