27-year-old Bryson Keith Huffman of Henry River Road in Hickory and 27-year-old Christopher Rae Lail of Spencer Road N.E. in Conover were both arrested by Hickory Police last Friday (April 28) on felony drug charges. They were each charged with one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana up to half-an-ounce. Huffman was also charged with misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.

Huffman and Lail were taken into custody without incident at 8:15 Friday evening at a residential address on 18th Avenue Drive N.W. in Hickory. Both suspects were processed at the Hickory Police Department. They were both released after posting an unsecured bond; $7,000 for Huffman and $5,000 for Lail. First appearances in District Court were scheduled this past Monday (May 1) in Newton with another court date for both men coming up on May 22.
