62-year-old Penny Elizabeth Thompson and 50-year-old Scott Edward Cook of Friendly Park Road in Lenoir were arrested Monday (December 26) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. Thompson was charged with five felonies: two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, two counts selling or delivering a schedule two controlled substance, two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises, and possession of meth. She remains in jail as of this morning with a $25,000 secured bond and a custody release. Cook was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver meth, two counts selling or delivering a schedule two controlled substance, and two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substance. He was given a custody release but remains in jail as of this morning with District Court scheduled for January 9.
