36-year-old Harlis Ray Crum III of Milstead MHP Lane in Taylorsville and 38-year-old Amber Nicole Schramm of Meadow Creek Loop in Statesville were arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. They’re both charged with felony counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance.
They’re also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Crum is additionally charged with driving while license revoked and displaying a revoked registration plate.
On Monday (September 25), an Iredell County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry. It was determined that the registration on the vehicle was expired and the driver of the vehicle, Harlis Ray Crum III, had a revoked driver’s license.
Another Deputy and his K9 partner arrived on the scene to assist with the traffic stop. The K9 was deployed to conduct a free-air sniff of the vehicle, and she gave a positive indication of the presence of a narcotic. Upon further investigation methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle.
Both the driver, Harlis Ray Crum III, and the passenger, Amber Nicole Schramm, were arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. Crum’s bond was set at $15,000 secured, Schramm received a $10,000 secured bond. They both remained in jail as of earlier today (September 28). They’re scheduled to appear in court October 16.
