Suspects Arrested Following Brief Standoff With Police
35-year-old Alex McCall Allran of Sail Pointe Lane in Denver, N.C. and 36-year-old Jason Howard Cockman of Archdale, N.C. were arrested Thursday (September 21) by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers. Allran is charged with felony larceny after breaking & entering and Cockman is charged on multiple warrants from Randolph County. The charges include possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of violation of a domestic violence protection order.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Sail Pointe Lane in Denver to serve an outstanding felony warrant on Allran. After arriving on the scene deputies learned she was in the residence. Officers had made four previous attempts to serve the warrants during the last six weeks.
Allran sent a text to a neighbor who was walking nearby telling her that she and her boyfriend, Cockman, were inside the residence but were not coming out. A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office sergeant continued to talk to the suspect but after no results, he instructed a deputy to secure a search warrant to make entry into the residence to arrest both individuals.
The sergeant began texting Cockman and before the search warrant could be drawn, the pair gave themselves up to officers without incident. Allran was processed and released under a $3,000 secured bond. Cockman was being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a no bond hold for Randolph County. No court date was listed for Allran as of earlier today (September 22). Cockman is scheduled to appear in Randolph County District Court October 9.
