Two Sought in Connection to Alexander Central Break-In [UPDATED 12/13 6:15 p.m.]

The Taylorsville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two subjects who are wanted in connection to a break-in at Alexander Central High School on School Drive in Taylorsville (off of Liledoun Road). Multiple items were stolen.

One of the suspects has been identified as 20-year-old Jesse Lee Powell of Burke County. Powell currently has active warrants for breaking & entering a building, larceny after the fact, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The other subject is a juvenile.

Authorities believe the two may have attempted to break into another high school in Catawba County. Anyone with information should call 828-632-2218.
