Two Month Investigation Results In The Arrests Of Three Suspects On Various Felony Charges

61-year-old Bruce Allen Hanna of Silver Creek Church Road, 65-year-old Randy Festues Norman of Mountain Breeze Drive in Morganton, and 29-year-old Kayly Renee Allman of 8th Avenue SW in Conover were all arrested last Thursday (February 25) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers.

Hanna is charged with felony counts of trafficking in heroin, trafficking in opium, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver meth, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance, and possession of schedule IV controlled substance along with a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. Norman is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and Allman is charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine).

According to information released today (March 2), following community complaints, Burke County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives conducted a two-month investigation that resulted in a search warrant at an address on Silver Creek Church Road in Morganton. The search, which was conducted last Thursday, resulted in six people being detained.

Detectives determined that Bruce Allen Hanna was in possession of and distributing multiple controlled substances including heroin, fentanyl, meth, xanax, morphine and suboxone. Also seized was a firearm and counterfeit $100 bills. Hanna reportedly resisted arrest but was quickly taken into custody.

After a previous investigation in response to community complaints, Burke County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives served a search warrant at the same house on August 27, 2020. During that search, multiple suspects were arrested after paraphernalia, meth, heroin, and firearms were found and seized. Charges in that investigation are still pending.

Hanna’s bond was set at $65,000 secured, Norman received a $10,000 secured bond, and Allman’s bond was set at $7,000 secured. None of the suspects are currently listed as inmates in Burke County. They were all scheduled to appear in court Monday (March 1).
