28-year-old Johnny Russell Corriher of Lincolnton and 58-year-old Joey Jackson Kiker of Iron Station were arrested Tuesday (August 4) by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers. Corrier is charged with one felony count each of statutory rape of a child, statutory sex offense of a child, indecent liberties with a minor and second-degree kidnapping. Kiker is charged with one felony count each of indecent liberties with a child, second-degree kidnapping, first-degree sexual offense and statutory sex offense with a child.
The investigation began after a report was received by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on June 25, 2020. The report indicated a juvenile female was engaging in sexual intercourse and other sexual contact with Corriher and Kiker. The victim and suspects knew each other prior to the reported incidents.
A forensic interview was completed with the victim at the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center in which she described the incidents. The investigation was completed and the suspects were arrested. Both suspects were placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond. Kiker remained in jail as of earlier today (August 5), Corriher was not listed as an inmate. Both suspects were scheduled to appear in District Court today.
