Details have been released in connection to a shooting Wednesday evening (November 8) in Hickory that resulted in injuries to two individuals. The Hickory Police Department is investigating the incident that occurred at Waverly Ridge Apartments, on 1st Street SE.

Hickory Police Officers were called to the area around 6:40 p.m. after reports that shots were fired. They found two teenage male juveniles who were both shot while standing on the front porch at one of the apartments. Both were hospitalized and one was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where, as of earlier today (November 9) he remained in critical condition.

No charges had been filed as of earlier today. Investigators were actively searching for suspects in this case.
