All of the area public school systems, Catawba County, Hickory Public, Newton-Conover City, Alexander County, Burke County and Caldwell County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for all students and staff today (February 1).

Today is the first day back for in-person learning in Burke County for A-day elementary school students. The Burke County delay means school buildings will open two hours late and buses will run two-hours late. The delay does apply to all students and staff on virtual and remote learning as well.
