30-year-old Brandon Michael Beatty and 31-year-old Marsha Kay Glazebrook, both of the same address on North Main Avenue in Newton, have been arrested by Newton Police on a long list of charges.
They were each charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Beatty was also charged with felony maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for a controlled substance, along with four counts of failure to appear. He reportedly failed to appear in court on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of meth, driving while license revoked, and expired registration card or tag. Glazebrook faces additional felony counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and possession of a schedule I controlled substance. She was also charged with failure to appear on counts of simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and driving while license revoked.
Both suspects were jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility yesterday (August 26) with bond for each set at $21,000. First appearances in District Court were scheduled today in Newton. Beatty has an additional District Court date on September 13 and a Superior Court appearance coming up on November 15. Glazebrook has another District Court date on October 8.
