Two Children Killed in Denver House Fire

According to Catawba County Communications & Marketing Director Amy McCauley, two children were killed in a residential fire in Denver yesterday (December 17). Shortly before 9 p.m., first responders were dispatched the area of 5005 Grassy Creek Road in Denver. Both of the deceased were under the age of 18. According to one unconfirmed report, they were four and six years old.

The Catawba County Fire Marshal investigated the fire. The cause was determined to be accidental due to an electrical issue. No additional information has been released.
