Tuesday Morning COVID-19 Update: Two Deaths Reported In Caldwell County, 54 New Cases In Catawba

54 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Monday (November 30) by Catawba County Public Health, increasing the overall total to 7,126 since the start of the pandemic. 97 coronavirus-associated deaths have been reported in Catawba County and hospitalizations increased to 61 Monday, the highest one-day total reported.

Two COVID-19-related deaths were reported Monday in Caldwell County, raising the total to 47. Both patients were over the age of 75 and reported to have underlying health conditions. One patient was hospitalized, and the other was a resident at Shaire Center. 58 new cases were reported Monday in Caldwell County, increasing the total to 3,571. There were 27 people hospitalized.

Burke County Public Health reported 20 new cases Monday, increasing the total to 4,244, with 67 deaths. The Burke County COVID-19 dashboard listed 18 people as currently hospitalized this morning (December 1).

According the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services, Alexander County currently had 1,641 coronavirus cases as of Monday. There had been 17 virus-related deaths in Alexander County.
