TROUTMAN, N.C. (Iredell Free News) – A work truck caught fire Tuesday morning (August 11) in Troutman, prompting a response from Troutman Fire Rescue.

According to the Iredell Free News, firefighters were alerted to the vehicle fire on Julian Place at approximately 10:40 a.m. Arriving crews found the work truck fully involved in flames on South Main Street near Julian Place.

Fire Chief Wesley Morris transmitted a working fire, and Ladder 1 was the first unit on scene. Firefighters stretched one hose line and quickly extinguished the blaze.

According to the published report, Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers and Troutman Police blocked two lanes of traffic while crews worked at the scene.

The fire was under control by 10:50 a.m. No injuries were reported.
