Troutman Man Charged With Various Drug Offenses

48-year-old Christopher Michael Gandt of Thoroughbred Drive in Troutman was arrested Thursday (August 6) by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two felony counts apiece of possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule I and VI controlled substances, and single felony counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for the use or storage of a controlled substance.

On Thursday, Narcotics Investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers executed a search warrant looking for illegal narcotics at an address on Thoroughbred Drive near Troutman.

Narcotics investigators had received information about the suspect, Christopher Gandt, possibly being involved in the sale, and distribution of different types of controlled substances in southern Iredell County. Narcotics investigators began a surveillance operation on Gandt. They verified the information and reportedly purchased narcotics directly from Gandt.

Narcotics investigators found 30 Dosage Units of LSD, 116 grams of Marijuana, 482 grams of THC resin or “Wax”, 7.75 grams of powder Cocaine, and 402 grams of Psychedelic Mushrooms during their search. Gandt was arrested at the scene and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where bond was set at $20,000 dollars secured. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (August 7).
