Troutman Man Charged With String Of Sexual Exploitation Counts

70-year-old Paul Howard Beha of Sierra Woods Drive in Troutman was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with ten counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

In February, 2024, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a CyberTip containing multiple files of suspected child sexual abuse material. The investigation was assigned to the Special Victim’s Unit. A search warrant was obtained for the social media account, identified in the CyberTip as MediaLab/Kik to receive additional information

When the search warrant results were recently returned, the data obtained yielded additional files containing child sexual abuse material and the account owner’s information. Last Thursday, (June 20), detectives with the Special Victims Unit and additional deputies executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home on Sierra Woods Drive, south of Troutman.

The search resulted in the discovery of additional electronic devices and computer hardware which were seized by the investigators. Beha was arrested at the residence. He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. Beha was not listed as an inmate as of today (June 26). A District Court date is scheduled for September 17.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
