Troutman Man Charged With Cocaine Possession

41-year-old Curtis Bishop Bryant of West Avenue in Troutman was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of cocaine and maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance along with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer stopped a Honda Accord operated by Bryant on Amity Hill Road at Starlight Road on July 4. While speaking with Bryant, the officer became suspicious of criminal activity. A K-9 officer walked around the exterior of Bryant’s vehicle and gave a positive indication for the odor of a narcotic.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies reportedly found cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Bryant was placed under arrest and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $3,500 secured bond. He was not listed as an inmate as of earlier today (July 10). A District Court date is set for July 25.
