Despite a strong shooting second half, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team could not catch up…

Three Top-10 Finishes Propel Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Golf to Second Place Finish
The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Golf Team finished in second place at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba University. Eve Neild had her best finish of the season as she finished in a tie for 5th place. With the 5th place finish, Neild was named to the all-tournament team.
The Bears were ahead of Anderson by one stroke heading into the final round but the Trojans shot a tournament-best 295 round to defeat the Bears by ten strokes. LR shot a 306 in the final day which was the second best round as the Bears was thirteen stokes ahead of third place South Carolina Beaufort.
No golfers shot under par on round three as Neild was just one of two golfers to shoot even par. Neild jumped to 5th place for the tournament with her strong effort. In all, the Bears had three golfers in the top ten as Marta Cervero and Charlotte Colley joined Neild. Cervero shot a 77 to finish in 7th place and Colley shot a 79 to finish in 9th
Marta Escudero finished in 16th and Katie Sibley in 38th to round out the Bears lineup.
The Bears have finished in the top 2 in each of the last three years as LR won the tournament last year and finished runner up in 2021. LR will have a few weeks off before heading to the Flager Fall Slam.
