Three Suspects Charged In Taylorsville Robbery Case

25-year old Kristen Ashley Smith of Statesville along with 29-year-old Cody Ben Fox and 42-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Mays, Jr., both of Taylorsville, were arrested Saturday (May 14) by Taylorsville Police Officers. Smith was charged with felony counts of common law robbery and possession of methamphetamine along with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served warrants from Iredell County for felony possession of meth and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with warrants from Davie County for felony probation violation and aid and abetting larceny.

Fox was charged with felony counts of common law robbery and possession of meth along with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. After an initial court appearance on Monday, he was also cited for felony probation violation. Mays was charged with felony common law robbery. Taylorsville Police Officers arrested the three suspects Saturday after they received a report of a robbery.

Smith remained in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today (May 17) under a secured bond of $60,000. Her next Alexander County District Court date is scheduled for June 6. She’s scheduled to appear in Davie County Superior Court and Iredell County District Court on May 23. Fox remained in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today under a secured bond of $30,000. His next District Court date is set for May 23. Mays has been released under $10,000 secured bond, He is scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court June 6.
