Three Suspects Charged In Meth Trafficking Case

36-year-old Eric Dale Jones of Dellwood Drive in Lenoir, 29-year-old Dylan Wayne McBryar of Dogwood Drive in Hickory, and 43-year-old Roy Sheldon Morris of Fairwood Drive in Hudson were all arrested Tuesday (July 19) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. Jones is charged with felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine by possession and transport and felony conspiracy to traffic in meth. McBryar is charged with felony conspiracy to traffic meth. Morris is charged with possession of meth.

On Tuesday at approximately 10:30 a.m., Caldwell County Narcotic Agents and Patrol Deputies stopped Eric Jones and Roy Morris’ vehicle as it traveled through the town Sawmills. The two were stopped after being observed by Agents at a known meth dealer’s residence in Burke County. The two were arrested on the meth charges.

Shortly after the arrest of Jones and Morris, Caldwell County Narcotics Agents obtained a search warrant for Dylan McBryar’s residence on Dogwood Drive in Burke County. Officers searched the home and found McBryar at the residence. Police seized more than 600 grams of meth, over $12,000 in U.S. currency, and five firearms.

During the investigation a total of approximately 3,441 grams (over 7.5 Pounds) of meth, five firearms, ammunition, and more than $26,000 in U.S. currency were seized. The drugs seized during the investigation have a total street value of $516,150 according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines.

All three suspects were placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center, Jones under a $500,000 secured bond, McBryar under a $750,000 secured bond and Morris under a $10,000 secured bond. They all remained in jail as of earlier today and are each scheduled to appear in District Court Thursday (July 21).
