Three Suspects Charged In Connection To Break-in, Theft
57-year-old Darryl Ray Moose of Stanley, 39-year-old Daniel Wayne Owens of Statesville, and 57-year-old Cathy Lynne Shreve of China Grove were arrested Wednesday (May 31) by Troutman Police Officers. All three suspects are charged with felony counts of breaking & entering and larceny. Moose is also charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine).
On Tuesday (May 30) Troutman Police Officers responded to a report of a residential breaking and entering on Charlotte Highway. The residence had a security camera which recorded the suspects along with their vehicles. A few hours later while on patrol, officers found the suspect vehicles parked near the Pilot truck stop on Charlotte Highway.
Officers were able to confirm that the subjects inside the vehicles matched those recorded in the security camera footage and arrested the three individuals. Moose was reportedly in possession of meth when he was taken into custody. Officers recovered some of the property that was stolen during the incident and return it to the owners.
The three suspects were incarcerated in the Iredell County Detention Center, Moose and Owens under $5,000 secured bond, Shreve under $3,000 secured bond. All three suspects remained in jail as of earlier today (June 1). Shreve is scheduled to appear in District Court June 13, Moose and Owens have District Court dates June 14.
