Three Suspects Arrested, Drugs Seized From Room At Lodging Establishment

38-year-old Jacquelyn Michelle Moss, 46-year-old Ronald Shawn Griffith, and 28-year-old Zachary Tylor Hartness were all arrested Tuesday (March 5) by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers.

Moss was charged with felony counts of trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture or sell schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture or sell methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture or sell schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for the sale or use of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Griffith was charged with felony counts of trafficking, opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture or sell schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for the sale or use of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana along with a misdemeanor count of possession of schedule II controlled substance. Hartness was charged with felony possession of meth and misdemeanor simple possession of schedule II controlled substance.

On Tuesday, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received information about illegal drugs being at the Masters Inn on Sullivan Road in Statesville. The deputies went to the location where they met with the three suspects. After speaking with them, a search of the room was conducted. Officers reportedly found 38.08 grams of heroin, 10.04 grams of meth, and 118.84 grams of marijuana. In addition, drug paraphernalia $347, and a loaded pistol were found.

The three suspects were arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Moss received a $150,000 secured bond, Griffith was given a $200,000 secured bond, and Hartness received a $5,000 secured bond. Moss and Griffith remained in jail as of earlier today (March 8), Hartness was not listed as an inmate. Griffith has a District Court date March 22, Moss and Hartness are scheduled to be in District Court March 26.
