Three Hickory Men Jailed on Felony Drug Charges

30-year-old Casey Everett Pruitt of 15th Street N.E., 32-year-old Christopher Allen Dowell of Young Road, and 30-year-old Dallas Loyd Gragg of Snow Creek Road N.E., all from Hickory, have been arrested by Hickory Police on felony drug charges. Pruitt was charged with felony counts of trafficking opium or heroin and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was also charged with maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for a controlled substance. Dowell faces one felony count of possession of heroin and Gragg was charged with one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

All three suspects were taken into custody without incident shortly after 3 a.m. today (October 8) near the intersection of the McDonald Parkway S.E. and Tate Boulevard S.E. in Hickory. They were jailed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility. Bond for Pruitt was set at $43,000, secured. Dowell and Gragg were each given a $5,000 secured bond. They will make first appearances in District Court Monday (October 12) in Newton.
