65-year old Cindy Lee Payung of Taylorsville will serve 90 days in the Alexander County Detention Center as the result of a felony probation violation. She was sentenced Monday (May 15). In January, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office charged Payung with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. She was convicted on March 23 and given a 24-month suspended sentence.
