An Alexander County woman listed as a fugitive by the state of Virginia was taken into custody on Thursday (May 18) by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

33-year old Amy Nicole Adkins of Taylorsville was served a Carter County, Virginia fugitive warrant for felony probation violation. She is awaiting extradition in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $100,000.
