Taylorsville Woman Jailed On High Bond After Drug Arrest

31-year-old Leslie Ann Austin of Taylorsville was arrested Tuesday (December 5) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth, and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance. She’s also charged with possession of schedule VI controlled substanceand possession of drug paraphernalia.

Austin has a series of pending drug related charges awaiting trial in Alexander, Catawba and Iredell Counties. Alexander County District Court dates are scheduled December 11, January 2, February 6, and February 26. An Alexander County Superior Court appearance is set for February 5. Her next Catawba County District Court date is January 8. An Iredell County District Court appearance is scheduled for February 1.

As WHKY previously reported, Austin was arrested on drug charges on August 28. As of earlier today (December 7), she was being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $500,000.
